Her approach to this sacred healing form is open and refreshing. I think one of the major differences between Sara and other practitioners/teachers is how dedicated she is to the students. She is totally there to for you, there with you through your whole process, there for feedback and support. It's not like the "wambamthankyouma'me" weekends that many organizations put together where you walk in the door, recieve your attunements, pay alot of money, then your out on your own.
Sara's intentions are pure and are completely absent of monetary greed. This opens space for a purity that is refreshing. She has been open to all types of questions and feedback and has really gone far beyond my expectations as far as helping me to learn a more thorough and wholistic approach to healing, really integrating various modalities. She has been very generous with her time, knowledge, love, and space. Sara is truly dedicated to creating a healing community. I am extremely grateful for this experiance!"

Sara Burns has visited many of the marines at the hospital to include myself. She is completely deticated to helping other people by means of reiki which is a system not too many people understand. However, it has been practiced for centuries and it amazes me of the affects it has given me when dealing with post traumatic stress. When I returned from Iraq, I was given the run around by doctors who consistently mis diagnosed me and continue to do so since my discharge working with the V.A. If there has been anything that has helped me quit breaking things out of anger and frustration when I have panic attacks it is this Reiki.
As a marine I dont too much believe in the spiritual realm, but I believe in what I saw and what worked for me. When Sara put her hands on me it felt almost like I was on some kind of ecstasy. All worry guilt and nightmares subsided to the point where I could actually begin to lead a normal life.

I highly recommend Sara Burns as both a Reiki practitioner and teacher...
Over the course of about 6 months I received 2 attunements and several treatments from Sara. I eventually also apprenticed under her with a small group of students for about 6 weeks - which included academic as well as hands on instruction. During this time I personally experienced and witnessed the tremendous healing power of her treatment sessions, as well as the profound depth of her instruction. Equally important, I found Sara to be tirelessly caring and supportive throughout. All in all, it was an amazing and fulfilling experience.
Sara is a certified Reiki Master and has been a practitioner for about 10 years. During this time she has acquired a wealth of knowledge about both the history and practice of Reiki . In her teaching sessions she includes scholarly information about the origin of Reiki, as well as the philosophies and hand positions of the various Reiki schools. Importantly, she also teaches how we can incorporate aspects of other healing modalities - such as Chakra balancing, accupressure meridians and Shamanism - into our Reiki practice.
Besides her breath of knowledge, Sara is also extremely supportive of her clients and her students. As a licensed and experienced Social Worker, she truly cares about our healing and follows up on our process whether we have come for a treatment session, an attunement or are an ongoing student of hers. If we have an issue or question - no matter how inconsequential, confusing or disturbing it may seem to us - she is always available to offer explanation or advice, give practical guidance or suggest healing practices. As a teacher, she instructs her students on how to gently nurture & support their client's healing process as well as set personal boundaries.
Finally, Sara sees Reiki as a spiritual as well as healing path. She encourages her students to Reiki themselves not just for practice and/or personal healing, but also to nurture our connection with Source. During training, along with traditional Reiki instruction, she also encouraged us to listen to our intuition and trust our inner guidance when working on others in order to go deeper in the healing process. Due to her vast experience, Sara was able to validate and guide our impressions so that we could gain confidence in our abilities - whether practical or intuitive.
In conclusion, Sara is a knowledgeable, experienced, supportive Reiki teacher and practitioner who truly cares about her student's and client's healing. She believes in Reiki as a healing and spiritual path and is dedicated to it - and to helping all those who come to her for healing and instruction. Furthermore, she has the tireless patience, extraordinary sensitivity and depth that this sort of work demands. Anyone who is searching for a deep and complete experience either in their own healing process, or who wishes to learn Reiki so they can help others heal, could find no better teacher than Sara.

Reiki was beyond a life changing experience for me...
Sara helped me to look at myself in a new way and shone light on aspects of my personality that I had been neglecting. She made recommendations that allowed me to make significant changes in my life and improve my physical as well as mental health. She helped me to reestablish a connection with my spirituality and reconnect with a greater meaning in life. Not only have I gained the strength to make changes I had been reluctant to make in my life, but I have also noticed a significant reduction in the pain that I have been experiencing for over 12 years. I was delighted to find that Sara is personable and comforting to work with. I have sought traditional and non-traditional therapies to correct the emotional trauma I was experiencing.
